FINALLY I am getting back on track for link-ups!

Today is one of my favorites of course

So head on over to The Vintage Apple for:

I usually like to have a theme when I do these

(Just a personal preference)

But my pins have been so scattered.

Probably because my wedding is over...

So it hit me: the theme is "post wedding pins"

or "pinning after wedding"

A look at what you pin when pinning wedding stuff is no longer acceptable.

pin

I know its shameful but I pinned my own brooch bouquet.

I just loved it so and its not the traditional "white/clear only" or only flowers

So I thought I'd share.

Of course every new last name needs a new monogram!

I think I'd like the yellow one the best!

pin

I have gone into scarf withdrawal

So I posted a new fun way to tie scarves, especially short ones!

Don't worry, I haven't completely given up on summer!

One pieces generally look awful on me:

I have a short torso and larger than average boobs

So they make me look stumpy and fat!

This one does not!

I borrowed it from my sweet step-sister and now I want it!

pin

I actually do like Miley Cyrus

But this throwback to my childhood was too hilarious not to pin

And also fairly accurate.

Mad respect if you can name the show this doll is from!

(not Hannah Montana).

An ode to Olivia Wilde- the inspiration for my new haircut

Whom (when I have bangs) I am told I look like.

Not exactly true but I am far from offended!

Judge for yourself:

And last but not least

Some back to school inspiration

Since grad-school starts back in a few weeks!

I'm a mix of sad to lose my summer

and happy to gain some much needed structure

and sad that it will be winter

and happy that it will be fall

(scarf and boot season hooray!)

Where was I?

Oh yeah...

I left the hotel we were getting ready at

At the bottom fell out of the sky.

And it rained and rained and rained

And not pretty romantic rain either

Noah and the ark rain.

But then about 10 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start- it stopped.

This meant some of our sweet friends and family had to help put quilts on the hay reallly quickly before the people could take their seats!

Glad they didn't move too fast so I could get this shot!

"As two families become one, please pick a seat not a side"

Our hand crafted programs.
I sure hope people enjoyed them because they took FOREVER to make!

The masses began taking their seats!

Not before stopping to visit the horses!
This is Rebekah, Hannah, and Trapper!

I rode in on a carriage!
So very thankful it stopped raining!

My sweet flower girls Alyssa and Emma!
"here comes the bride..."

I had both parents walk me down the aisle.
I think it kind of bothered my dad
But my mom was just so honored.
And I loved having them both there.

I got my arch!!
An instance where something I wanted was moved to the bottom of the "to-do" list.
Mom came through and had a friend make it for me!

The whole picture was pretty awesome!

The bridal party looked cute up there too!

We said our vows

Robbie's sister Katie read a scripture that was NOT 1 Corinthians

We had to come back of course...

We took family photos!
That's our entire intermediate family + grandparents (- step children, sorry!).

Then Blake (a groomsmen) requested to "hold me like a fish"
Meaning he wanted the groomsmen to hold me.
Well then the bridesmaids wanted to hold me
Poor Blake.
He got to hold Robbie like a fish though!

Then we took some of our couples shots:

Finally Jennifer figured out how to bustle the dress
And we were off to the reception!

Until next time...

Three weeks!

Thats how long I've been married.

The post for everything would be a million pages long

So I figured I would document my wedding in stages.

Today is the wedding parties edition.

I started the morning of July 13, 2013 with Chic-fil-a,

Getting judged for buying beer at 8AM

And visiting with my kittens!

My MOH and I did a few things at the wedding venue

And then we headed back to the hotel to get ready!

The Dress.

Something blue!

The garters that inspired me to "incorporate" peacock elements into my wedding.

Peacock became the main theme...

 Super blessed! :)

Then had some normal photos too

(in my favorite alley way in downtown New Bern)

Then unfortunately when we went back to the room

we had to walk through another couples wedding reception.

I guess things like that might happen if you have your reception in a hotel lobby.

Uhh awkward.

Sorry I wore my wedding dress to another wedding?

Meanwhile...

Speaking of shots...

There were so many REAL shots taken this day

But for this photo they took shots of water.

Never really figured out why.

I made it back to the main house just in time for the bottom to fall out of the sky

...To Be Continued ;)
