My dad's laziness sometimes turns into my happiness…

For instance my dad doesn't like hand washing things

So I ended up with his juicer, for free, because you have to hand wash it.

You know what they say: One man's burden…

So I have already tried three new recipes

And one free for all with leftovers from my fridge

And I love them all!

Apple Carrot Ginger Juice:

2 apples

6 carrots

1 knob of ginger peeled

"Leftovers" Juice

4 carrots

1 cucumber

1/2 lemon

1 peach (pitted)

1 pint of blueberries

Beginner Green Juice:

2 handfuls of spinach

1 Cucumber

1 Apple

1/2 a lemon

4 medium carrots

So since moving in we have done a lot

Painting walls, hanging pictures, decorating

But I haven't posted pictures of the living room because it was missing something

And that something was color.

Here is the WAY before: aka how we bought it:

There was plenty of color on the floor

Thanks to my lovely target rug (shown above)

And I even has some pillows to bring in a pop

But the couch is beige, the walls are beige,

And the photo hanging over the couch was antique black and white (also above).

So I decided I needed a photo to spice up the wall.

Nothing crazy (because Robert would not like that)

So we found this on pinterest:

So we went to Michaels on Saturday

Bought a canvas and paint

And viola:

MAYBE we will finish the mantle one day so I can show everyone!

Until then,

So June 21st is the first day of summer

But also it's National wear your Lilly day!

So this year they challenged their fans to do 31 days of Lilly…

it got me thinking "do I even have 31 days worth of Lilly to wear?"

When I pulled it all out

(once I finally had a night my husband wasn't home and wouldn't see…)

I was pretty shocked:

Lilly Pulitzer Navy Raleigh top

Its crazy that today marks the two year anniversary of my husband's proposal

Which set into motion one of the most challenging

and also rewarding journey of our lives together: Marriage

There are times where I would rather punch him in the face than kiss him

And there are times that I can't imagine a single minute of my life without him

We have been through so many changes in the last two years: good and bad

And so many things have happened to us its hard to believe its only two years

And yet, its hard to believe its been that long at the same time.

So happy anniversary to this overgrown man-child, and my best friend.

Today wasn't just exciting because of our anniversary:

It also marked my first day at my internship with Grifols.

I will be essentially determining methods to optimize viral clearance steps in blood plasma therapeutics, trying to come up with new methods of clearance and detection of virus, and probably lab work no one wants to do because- let's face it- I'm an intern.

I'm actually pretty excited (except the whole waking up early thing)

I am also super excited to announce the newest addition to our family…

(not a baby- now or anytime soon, God willing)
