Thanksgiving in Mexico

Robert and I have seven parents between us
Our parents are all divorced and all but my dad are remarried.
We are pretty blessed because our family all gets along with one another
Its like the best case blended situation you can have
but that doesn't mean that things don't get stressful, especially around the holidays.
We never get to spend a holiday alone
Seriously, even Valentine's day is his grandmother's birthday
So we decided to take this Thanksgiving for just us.
We've always wanted to go to Mexico so we did some research and picked
The rooms were clean and very luxurious
And the property was gorgeous
There were so many restaurants to chose from and the staff was amazing!
One of the days we chose to take an excursion to the Mayan ruins (Chichen Itza)
Since its purchase a couple years ago, and an accidental death, you are no longer allowed to climb the ruins!
We also got to see a cenote (sink hole) on the property.
This one was used for human sacrifices… yikes.
We did get to swim in a sink hole that was free of human sacrifice
Of course everything we did was amazing
But it was also just nice to sit around the pool and sip mimosas on Thanksgiving
Nothing like some rest and relaxation to make you thankful!
How did you spend your Thanksgiving?
Xo, Kasi
